SERVICES OF BODY REBALANCE
REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial Massage is designed to balance muscle/soft tissue length and tension which in turn promotes the return to normal joint function. Kate uses Trigger point and cupping techniques to relieve hypersensitive points in the body and to release the fascia. Massage also promotes the flow of blood and lymph, particularly to injured areas, thus reducing damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions that may result from injury.
Benefits of Remedial Massage include:
• Alleviate back pain and improve range of motion
• Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow
• Increase joint flexibility
• Relax and soften tired and overused muscles
• Release endorphin - the body's natural painkiller
• Improve energy levels
• Enhance sleep quality
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage is used pre and post events and during training. It helps prepare the athlete for peak performance and aids in a faster recovery.
Sports massage is designed to:
• Promote flexibility
• Increase endurance
• Reduce fatigue
• Prevent injuries
RELAXATION MASSAGE
A relaxation massage will help to de-stress and loosen up your body and is great for those who have had a hard working week or feel like treating themselves to some TLC! The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles performed at your chosen pressure.
MYOFASCIAL CUPPING THERAPY
'What is it and what are the benefits?
Myofascial Cupping is a traditional Chinese method where glass cups are sucked onto the clients skin lifting the surface area. Once the suction has occurred, the cups can be gently moved across the skin (often referred to as "gliding cupping). The suction in the cups causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage - rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward. For most patients, this is a particularly relaxing and relieving sensation. Depending on the client, they can sometimes bruise as the pulling sensation brings the blood to the surface and draws the toxins for removal via the lymphatic system.
Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue and migraines. Even hands, wrists, legs, and ankles can be 'cupped.'
I use Myofascial Cupping within my treatments. I use a gentle hand held pump to suction the cup onto the skin, I don't use alcohol swabs and a naked flame.
